Harry Potter and the Thing That Did The Stuff; A Review

My wife is devoted to the Harry Potter books, which means I've gone to all of these Harry Potter movies.  I haven't read the books yet, so I never know what's going on.  Here's what I gather:

The Kid with the Glasses is special because he has a Zorro dealie on his forehead.  His parents died, too.  This ties into why he's special, I guess.  They died for him I think?  I don't remember.  Anyway, his Pa-Paw died at the end of the last movie, and now dude misses his Pa-Paw.  This is the setup for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Now, this is part 1 of a filmed duology of the final book in the series, and new characters keep streaming in.  There's a weaselly brother for the dude's friend Weasely that shows up; he's the oldest one, I think.  I assume he's a major character in the books, but here he gets married so bad stuff can happen at his wedding.

The last half of the film is set in a forest, which I thought was called the Deathly Hallows, but I think that's a term for something that killed these 3 brothers, or there was a story about Death visiting these 3 brothers, or . . . Hell, I dunno.

It ended with the Dude With No Nose getting a shiny thing.  This was very important.  The screen cut to black, and I got up and left.

Thumbs Up!
